Welcome to CalAPS—where education meets opportunity!
Career pathways give high school students the chance to begin working on their careers while they're still in school. If a student chooses a career pathway, their classes will cover the usual subjects needed for college and also include specific job-related courses. This helps them learn and make connections in their chosen field in a supportive, positive environment. There are many options available, such as animation and welding. If you're interested, you can ask a school counselor to find out which pathways are offered.
Extracurricular programs like SkillsUSA let students learn practical skills beyond regular classwork. These programs work together with professional and nonprofit groups to offer students opportunities like internships, field learning experiences, and competitions. This can mean real-world job experience for our students.
