California Advancing Pathways for Students (CalAPS) held their first annual CTE Student Recognition program on Monday, June 5, 2017. CalAPS commits to recognizing CTE students who have demonstrated effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate with others, leadership potential, responsibility, willingness to participate in activities and personal growth in respective CTE courses. Nomination criteria was the following: sustained outstanding performance within the course, leadership capability, desire to continue to pursue their education within the CTE Sector, responsible behavior and excellent attendance. Students were awarded a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Nanette Barragan, gift cards from Cassidy's Corner Cafe,a local business partner, and $100.00 check provided by a local community member in support of the student's recognition! It was an outstanding evening for all students, staff and families in attendance! Congratulations to our students!
